Pocketbook – SolidWorks PDM Plug-In

Designed for the XML change order form but compatible with any file in PDM, this tool brings you the power of attaching referenced files to another file inside PDM using only a click of a data card button AND brings you the power of adding multiple columns of additional data about each attached document in a convenient popup form just like your own pocketbook.

The XML change order form is a powerful feature of PDM allowing rendering of your XML change order with a stylish XSL template to customize the look and feel for your operations. Just browse to the file or files you want to attach, select them, and they are attached as references PLUS the file names appear in a data card field you choose in the settings. Then add additional columns of data about each attached reference such as, Disposition, Due Date, Inspection Method, Build thickness, Color, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Pocketbook also offers a setting to include a </br> HTML tag at the end of each line in the data card field for line break rendering in the preview window and a PRO-TIP on how to configure your XSL template field to render without the </br> showing.
